26,510 lbs of food was collected at Giant Grocery Stores around
the County for Manna Food Center!

Thank you to all the volunteers who served across Montgomery County. Volunteers worked on many different projects including park clean ups, assisting at fall festivals, paintings, invasive weed pulls, distributing diapers, packing snacks and sandwiches, and more.  You have truly made a difference in the community!

Host a volunteer project at your site!  Do you have a big project coming up that is in need of more hands?  Plan it for the week of October 20-27.  The Volunteer Center will be promoting one time volunteer opportunities to volunteers in the community.  Take this opportunity get work done for your organization and connect with new volunteers.

If you have already planned your project, register it on our website today!  Follow the directions below.  You will be able register a project for a specific number of people and watch as the project fills up.

  • Log in to your account in our database.  
  • Click on the Events tab and "Community Service Day 2013" will appear under Current Events  
  • Click on "Details and Project Sign Up" 
  • Click "Add a Project"
  • Enter Project Information 

Fill out the Community Service Week Project Form if:

  • If you have a project for Community Service Day that is in need not only of volunteers but also funding.  Funding for organizations may be available.  Projects that are eligible for funding must be open to the public and the materials be used directly towards project supplies,e.g., building materials, paint, cleaning materials, trash bags, tools, packaging materials.‚Äč
  • If you are NOT registered with the Volunteer Center but are still interested in hosting a project.  Let us know about your projects so we can help get the word out!
  • If you need help brainstorming or want to let us know about your potential project.
