Orientation for Organizations
New organizations and new staff with existing organizations are invited to attend one of our monthly orientations. You'll get an overview of programs and services, an introduction to using the online database and hints on ways to maximize volunteer recruitment. A portion of the orientation focuses specifically on the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Student Service Learning (SSL) program and requirements for community organizations that wish to be pre-approved for SSL by MCPS.
Attending an orientation is required by MCPS for organizations that want SSL approval, and it's optional for all others. MCPS requires attendence at an orientation before your organization will be reviewed for SSL Approval, and also requires that organizations that have been pre-approved for SSL attend an orientation every three years.
